Mission

The Fayette County Bar Foundation (FCBF) is the charitable giving arm of the Fayette County Bar Association. Its mission is to raise and distribute charitable funds for law-related projects and education in Fayette County, Kentucky in the following areas:

  • delivery of legal services to the poor and indigent

  • law-related public education

  • improvement of the judiciary, the legal profession, and citizen access to the justice system

The Foundation awards grants to local not-for-profit organizations each year. The FCBF is supported by contributions from individual attorneys, law firms and corporations.

2025 GIVING UPDATE

We are proud to announce that the FCBF awarded a total of $55,000.00 in grants to 14 deserving Kentucky organizations in 2025. 

Recipients included CASA, Children’s Advocacy Center of the Bluegrass, Community Response Coalition of Kentucky, Grandparents as Parents Committee, Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass, Legal Aid of the Bluegrass, Lexington Children’s Museum, Mediation Center of Kentucky, Micah Legal Services, Nursing Home Ombudsman Agency, Spay Our Strays, The Nest, UK Research Foundation, and the YMCA Youth Association. 

With these grants, the FCBF helped support pro se access to family court mediation, growth and development of educational play for our children, advocacy for child survivors of abuse, and so many other important endeavors in our community.
